DESCRIPTION

The communication contest is designed for teams of college students from TECA affiliated chapters. The objective of the contest is to plan and produce a quality video-based commercial/advertising, or provide information to an audience on an “assigned topic.” The “assigned topic” or “video challenge” will typically be a product, service, or organization. The competing teams will receive a short description of the product, service, or organization, and possibly some relevant background information. However, the bulk of the information needed for the video-based commercial will be up to the team to research. The teams must develop a storyboard and produce the required feature within the time constraints of the contest.

TEAM:

Each team will consist of three to six students who are members in good standing of a TECA affiliated chapter, and who are registered participants at the conference. The members may be either full-time undergraduate or graduate students (note: a maximum of two graduate students per team).
